Goods in transit insurance (also known as GIT insurance) covers property against loss or damage while it is in transit from one place to another or being stored during a journey. You can take GIT insurance out for goods being distributed in your own vehicle or by a third-party carrier, both domestically and abroad.

Your Goods, Plant, Tools are stolen from your vehicle whilst parked and unattended.
Your Vehicle is Stolen with the Goods & Tools on board. Note, the Vehicle Insurance does not cover the Goods or Tools carried so essential to have Transit cover.
Your goods are damaged whilst in transit by Vehicle accident or by a third party courier.
